Container garden expert Melissa King shows you how to make a statement on your patio or deck with this cool coastal combo.
Here's what you'll need:
1 x Northcote Pottery Villa Sand Pot (50 x 38cm)
1 x Northcote Pottery Villa Sand Pot Saucer (38.3 x 5.3cm)
1 x Festuca glauca (Blue Fescue Grass)
1 x Carex 'Frosted Curls'
3 x Rhodanthe daisies
3 x Cotyledon
3 x Leucophyta brwonii (Cushion Bush)
Nestle the two grasses together at the back of the pot then frame them on either side with the pretty Rhodanthe daisies, which display masses of papery white blooms and silver leafed Cotyledon, which teams beautifully with grasses and other succulents.
Then fill the gaps at the front with a striking combination of Blue Chalk Sticks, Rhodanthe and Cushion Bush with striking textured silver foliage and pale-yellow coloured flowers in summer.
TIP: Combine silver and blue foliage with white flowers in a light-coloured pot for a cool understated look that will never go out of style.
